Rules

Overview: Online matches played weekly against other players in Canada.

Demographic: League is open to everyone of all genders, ages, and skill-types.

Length: 3 Week Season, 2 regular season + 1 Playoff Tournament [2 match days per week]

Registration/ Game Mode: Duos in a Squad match

Schedule: All matches will start at 7pm on their match nights. Schedule to be released prior to start of league and will be accessible throughout season.

Schedule breakdown:

  • 3 Rounds - estimated 45 minutes - 1.5hr
  • All rounds must be played which equals 12 regular season rounds.

**THE FIRST 4 MATCH DAYS ARE NOT HEAD TO HEAD MATCHES - WIN/LOSS DOES NOT MATTER. ONLY ELIMINATIONS MATTER. GET AS MANY ELIMINATIONS AS POSSIBLE! ELIMINATIONS DETERMINE YOUR SEED IN THE PLAYOFFS.

POINTS:
+1 point per elimination
+5 points for over 8 eliminations in a single round
+5 points for VICTORY

Standings + Playoffs: Final standings make up the playoffs seeding which will be used for the playoff brackets! Championship bracket for top 8, consolation brackets after with prizing as well!

Playoff Structure: 
Based on the Final Standings Ladder, a two-day playoff bracket is created.

Playoff Matchup breakdown: 2 Rounds - estimated 15 minutes – 30 minutes (Squads with two Duo's competing against each other) Head-To-Head. Both rounds must be played with the winner having the higher cumulative ELIMINATIONS over the two rounds. In the case of a tie, a third game will be played, and in case of a tie in the 3rd game, a 4th game will be played, and so on – until there is a winner!

RULES + LOGISTICS

1. Forfeits and Rescheduling
There are NO FORFEITS in the regular season. Matches are meant for you to both verify each other’s scores.

If you are unable to make your scheduled match, please notify your opponents and your OeSL Moderator as early as possible.

2. Opponent No-Shows
If a team/player does not show up to a match at its scheduled time, wait 15 minutes and then contact your OeSL Mod. They will provide next steps for you.

BEFORE LEAGUE STARTS

  1. Notifications & Communication
    1. All communication once the league starts will be done on Discord. Please familiariaze yourself with the OeSL platform and your applicable channels.

  2. Add opponents
    After your schedule is released, please add all your opponent’s Activition IDs so that there is no delay once the season starts.

GAMEDAY

  1. BEFORE MATCH
    Please aim to have your game setup 15 minutes prior to start-time.

  2. DURING MATCH
    Play your 3 consecutive rounds and communicate issues with your OeSL Moderator. After each round, we encourage you to take a screenshot of the entire scoreboard should there be disputes regarding final scores.

  3. AFTER MATCH
    Decide amongst the players in the game who will report the scores into the Players’ Lounge under the schedule section. Standings will be updated live after results are submitted.
